Please feel free to contact me with any questions or just to say hello! I'd love to hear from you.
In an age where physical documentation is becoming a lost art, I specialize in "lifestyle" photography for documenting our lives - especially the fleeting moments of childhood and the people we hold dear, but also the homes that we live in, the food that we cook, the places we visit. Capturing all of the dimensions of our lives, with all of it's beauty, messiness, and authenticity, is what lifestyle photography means to me and what inspires me to be a photographer.
I am a natural-light photographer mostly based outside of Boston in an old farmhouse with a barn studio, but also spend several months a year based in downtown London, U.K. I'm available for work in both locations.
Here's a bit about me so you can get to know me better...
I am happily married to a wonderful and supportive husband and together we have 3 little girls. I drive a Vespa, used to be a classical ballet dancer, love Europe, cooking, entertaining, travel, interior design, girls nights, documenting things to pass on to my children (advice, recipes, photographs, you name it) and have a weakness for Hemingway, Bob Dylan, and the movie Love, Actually.
I have a B.A. in English Literature & Psychology from Wellesley College and an Ed.M in Human Development & Psychology from Harvard University.
I am also the owner of www.maevemcwhinney.com where I help women change how they structure their time to be more fulfilled.
